Stucchi: 60 years of excellence

In 1960, two brothers of Treviglio, Innocente and Lorenzo Stucchi, decided to create their own company in the province of Bergamo.

Presently, this company became an outstanding brand all around the world and one of the principal innovators in the sector of quick couplings.

Therefore, this year Stucchi celebrates 60 years of activity, distinguished by the excellence of its production and by the ongoing ability to find new solutions that will always fulfil more efficiently the market needs.

These six decades of history were highlighted by many significant events.

It was actually in 1977 that the company has started the development and production of quick couplings specifically destined for conducting fluids under pressure.

The commitment to the research of new solutions was the determining element of the Stucchi success in these first years, which has materialised with the first series of flat face couplings in 1983, therefore allowing the company to venture in the international market.

This design offers important advantages for all application sectors, improving efficiency and safety even under the most severe and demanding use conditions, and it quickly became one of the most distinctive Stucchi products: along the years, our engineers and researchers have endeavoured to further improve performance, to meet the needs of an international and multi-sector customer base.

The Stucchi efforts were acknowledged by ISO, the international organisation dedicated to the definition of standards for products, services and systems.

Specifically, the company was awarded in 1993 with the ISO 9001 certificate for quality management systems, and in 1999 its design for flat face quick couplings was used as reference for the standard ISO 16028.

In 2003 the U.S. headquarters of Stucchi was inaugurated in Illinois with the name of Stucchi USA Inc., which was followed by Stucchi Shanghai in 2012, in China.

Between 2011 and 2012, the company has further enriched its portfolio of certifications and attestations with the BS OHSAS 18001 for occupational safety and the UNI EN ISO 14001 for environmental management.

The international growth of Stucchi continued in 2013, with Stucchi FCP, which became its Australian branch, and in 2017 with the opening of Stucchi Engates Hidráulicos in Brazil.

60 years of important objectives that we were able to accomplish thanks to the force of the ideas, of the people and the dedication to excellence: in 2020, which still represents a moment of substantial uncertainties both economic and social, we want to celebrate an effort of six decades and extract from this experience the strength to overcome these additional difficulties and continue to offer for the international market high-performance solutions also along the next decades.
